Our Story

Our founder, Guy Richardson, began seeking out people who were teachable, truthful, and servant-hearted back in 1986 before the internet, smartphones and apps. Ron Reed Joined Guy in 1991. For over twenty years, they mentored the team in building a multiplatform human resource service company, including direct hire staffing, executive recruiting, HR outsourcing, charter school services, payroll for staffing and recruiting agencies and benefits administration service in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

In 2014, Advance Employment merged with a company called AccessPoint, when Ron and Guy retired. We operated as AccessPoint until mid-2019 when Blaine Schultz and Shelley Mitchell decided to buy back their BELOVED Advance Employment.

We brought back the nameplate and reinvested in the philosophy and culture that made us who we are and why we succeed – Serving First, Serving without Exception. Since 2020, the road has had enough twists and turns to make an acrobat dizzy. We continue to work toward our dream of putting people to work, partnering with long-term customers, and assisting associates in finding long-term gainful employment. Come check us out! We can help.
